Golfing: A Duffer's Dictionary

One of the funniest books ever published on its subject GOLFING, is back. And better than ever. Now an avid golfer, Henry Beard brings the same passion for improvement to writing about golf as he does to playing it, and he's both added new definitions and rewritten many others. Like WHIFF - "Familiar term widely misused to describe particularly fast and powerful style of practice swing intentionally made directly over the ball."

I bought these (and some pink Volvik Crystals) from the PGA Superstore when I received a gift card at a recent outing. I am an occasional golfer and couldn’t justify buying Callaway Warbirds or anything like that. These make the game a little more fun, who can’t help but chuckle looking at Spongebob’s goofy face on a bright yellow ball. They conform with USGA rules and are especially nice when playing in the fall in Michigan because of the leaves on the ground. I am 30 and not ashamed to play Wilson’s Spongebob golf balls.

I’m not a great golfer, but I hold my own. These balls are a lot of fun. The bright yellow make them easy to find.

If you are a golfer,, good or bad. This is a great book for you. Also give it as a gift to the golfer you know. It will cause you to laugh out loud, and you will see yourself and so many others within the pages. It`s just for fun, but packed with true-isms, and half true-isms! Good to pull out on those rainy days, while waiting at the 19th hole, or at golf parties !!!!

This is a hilarious little book of spoof golfing definitions written by golfers for golfers. It captures the disappointments and frustrations that all golfers know so well. Keep it as a reference guide!
