Mar 27th, 2010 by Sam-Frea

When you play the golf game, just like other sports such as baseball, you will need to pick if you will hit right or left handed. Just like in baseball, a switch hitter is someone who can do both, there are some people who will feel comfortable golfing left or right handed. Most people will only do it one way as that is more effective. Either way, you will find a lot of golf swing tips can be applied to both types of golfers.

Can all golf tips be applied to a left handed golfer?

Pretty much all of them. Helping your golf swing through tips like the position of your feet, how you hold the club and how you angle your shots can be applied to both. Looking through various golf swing guide manuals online will help you find these tips, and they will generall speak for all golfers. Getting a left handed golf club is one of the things you will need to get if you plan to hit that way. It will be different in that way, but the manufacturers make all clubs with the same quality and ability for great golf. They just make it work for the other direction.

Many great golfers like Weir shoot golf left handed and have been very competitive in the field. You just have to know how to use your talent, and as long as you are comfortable shooting that way, then your good to go. Golfers with the ability to hit both ways, will find one way and stick with it as they will notice their game improves much more buy swinging the way that they find more natural.

If your trying to improve your left handed golf swing, then remember most tips apply for both. After all you are just facing the opposite way of the right handed golfer, and in both situations the angle you shoot at can become the same. If you have the given talent to begin with, you can become the next big golfer, no matter which way you shoot.

Fixing Your Golf Slice May Be Easier Than You Think
Jan 8th, 2010 by Sam-Frea

Fixing a golf slice is the one of the first things any beginning golfer should learn to do in order to shave strokes off his or her golf game. Of all the trouble spots in the game of golf, the slice is one of the most common problems plaguing golfers. And it's not only beginners that can develop a slice since it can happen to golfers of any level. Even the pros occasionally slice the ball into the woods.

A golf slice is caused by the clubface coming across the ball from outside the target line, creating sideways rotation on the ball. For a right-handed golfer, this clockwise spin will create a ball flight that veers right. A slice is a severe left to right shot that usually ends up in the woods or rough depending on the severity of the slice and how much sideways spin was imparted to the ball. Read on to learn how to fix your slice.

A golf slice is nothing more than clockwise-spin (for right-handed golfers) imparted on the golf ball at impact that results in a ball flight path that moves towards the right of the fairway and may end up in any of a number of trouble spots depending on how severe the sideways spin on the ball and how dramatically it deviates off course.

Although a common problem, and despite the difficult many golfers have, it is not impossible to learn how to cure a slice in golf. Stance, grip and swing speed all play a part. A golf slice is caused by the upper body lagging behind the lower body during the swing, creating an "over-the-top" move, which in turn results in an open clubface at impact with the ball. This open clubface at impact creates the side-spin that results in the shot we know as the slice. This is the shot that some golfers affectionately refer to as the 'banana ball!'

One of the keys to fixing a golf slice is to make sure that the club face contacts the ball squarely and that it is neither open nor closed at impact. Maintaining a proper golf swing throughout which you keep the club on-plane can also help eliminate your slice.

One of the most important golf swing tips for beginners is to keep their head down and their eye on the ball throughout their swing. This will help ensure that the clubface contacts the ball squarely and that the result is not a miss-hit ball that veers off in any unwanted directions. Focusing on conatcting the golf ball squarely as impact, reduces or eliminates the spin imparted onto the ball, which can reduce or eliminate your slice altogether.

Tips To Be Aware Of While Buying New Golf Gloves
Jan 8th, 2010 by Sam-Frea

One very important piece of golfing equipment is a golfing glove.  The right golfing glove can enhance your game by improving your grip and the control you have over your swing.  The wrong golfing glove will be more of a distraction than a help.  This is the reason why it is critical to take some time when shopping for a golf glove and to buy the one that will really be beneficial.

Most folks will only wear one golf glove.  The glove is generally worn on the upper hand which is nearest to the club grip.  This is most often not your dominant hand.  A right handed golfer will generally wear a glove on their left hand while a left handed golfer will wear one on the right.  It's a good idea to spend some time trying on golf gloves before you get one.  It's best if you are able to grip a club while you are trying it on.  This will allow you to get a good sense of how well it fits and whether it improves your grip.

Golf gloves can be made out of many different materials.  Some of the most popular choices include nylon, synthetics, knitted fabric, and leather.  The best quality golf gloves are sometimes made from leather.  Some of the benefits to selecting a leather golfing glove are that it will comply with the shape of your hand and should be really durable.

There will be many various features to consider when buying a golf glove.  Some of the things to search for include wedding ring holes, Velcro straps, ball markers, and guidelines to accommodate long fingernails.  Think about what features are most crucial to you as well as your style of play.  There are leather golf gloves out there that may work for nearly each golfer.
